Use Teacherwave alongside a marketplace
Found some of your students on Preply or Superprof? You can still plan, assess and track their progress here.
Every marketplace sets its own rules about lessons, payments and contact outside its platform. Here are the ones we've looked at, with links to their rules, so you can stay within them.
Two links, for two kinds of student
Private student link
For students you found yourself, or arrange lessons with privately. They get everything: booking, the classroom, messages, learning plans, assessments, report cards and your payment button.
Marketplace student link
For students you teach through a marketplace. They get learning plans, assessments, report cards and progress. The calendar, booking, messages and your payment button are switched off, so lessons and payments stay on the marketplace.
Both links are in Settings, under Invite.
Marketplaces we've looked at
Using Teacherwave alongside Preply?
Keep lesson bookings and payments on Preply, and don't share Teacherwave invite links or contact details before the student has paid for their first lesson. Preply treats external payment arrangements as bypassing its platform.
Before inviting students to an external learning platform, review Preply's current rules and ask Preply Support if you're unsure whether your intended use is permitted.
Which link
If you do invite a Preply student, send your Marketplace student link: their lessons, messages and payments stay on Preply.
Teaching students you found through Superprof?
Superprof UK allows tutors and students to arrange lessons and payments privately after connecting. Teacherwave can help you organise those lessons, create learning plans and assessments, and track student progress.
If you use Superprof's booking or lesson-pack system, continue to follow its requirements. Always check the current terms for your country's Superprof website.
Superprof in other countries
| Country | Official terms | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Terms and Conditions(opens in a new tab) | Explicitly allows tutors and students to arrange payment privately outside Superprof. |
| France | Conditions générales(opens in a new tab) | Official help confirms students can pay their tutor directly. |
| Spain | Condiciones generales(opens in a new tab) | Official guidance describes direct arrangements with students as an option. |
Which link
For lessons you arrange privately, send your private student link. If a student books or buys lesson packs through Superprof, send your Marketplace student link instead.
Teacherwave isn't affiliated with Preply or Superprof. These are summaries, not legal advice: each marketplace's own terms always apply, and they can change. Last reviewed October 2026.
